Annette Riesterer, Voice

After she had trained to become a kindergarten teacher, Annette Riesterer finally returned to what she considers her first love: music.

She then studied voice at the Jazz & Rock Schule Freiburg with Judy Roberts, Rhonda Dorsey, and Devianna Daudsjah.

For five years, she caused a sensation as a member of the Sextanten in Germany and neighboring countries, for seven years she sang at top-class festivals and galas, and was a part of the vocal quarter “Salto Vocale” for five more years.

She had been already active as a studio singer, and then took part in the stage musical scene: Annette took part in the Basel Theater production of “Jesus Christ Superstar.”

Annette was a soloist in the Jazzchor Freiburg for twelve years, with whom she won many prizes and traveled regularly through Russia, Korea, Japan, Denmark, France, Switzerland and Austria.

Her voice gets under your skin.
Annette Riesterers ability to open her voice with ease, and not to hide her own vulnerability, makes the audience spellbound in live concerts. In the words of one of her fans: with her voice, “she breaks into your defenseless heart and conquers your soul. That hurts from longing and yearning, but at the same time one feels happy to fly away with her.”
