Music study: major in Tenor Saxophone with degree at the “SWISS JAZZ SCHOOL” in Bern.
Clarinet study: with Götz Ertle (Degree in clarinet from the Würzburg Music Conservatory).
Since 1988: Saxophonist in various Big Bands (e.g. Carlo Bäder Big Band, Kilian Heitzler Big Band, Contemporary Big Band Project).
A variety of concert activities with international artists in jazz and popular music: Onzy Mathews (USA), Carla Cook (USA), Jimmy Dillon (USA), Inga Rumpf (D), Shane Brady (IRL), Alexander Paeffgen (D), Bella Nugent (SA), Ingmar Winkler (D), Simon Holliday (GB), among others.
Since 1996: various engagements at the Basel Theater, as well as at the “Städtischen Bühnen” in Freiburg.
Since 1998: various engagements with the Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since 2002: Saxophonist with Simon Holliday & Band.
Since 2003: Saxophonist with the Ingmar Winkler Quartett.
Since 2004: Concertos for saxophone and church organ.
Premiere of the “MONDNACHT” suite in 3 movements, for tenor saxophone, soprano saxophone and organ, opus 1.
